Editing an element

Why edit an element?

You may need to edit an element when its identification has changed, or when one of its operating characteristics has changed. This can affect whether the element is subject to regulation, so it's essential to update the element's information to keep it current.

How do I edit an element?

To edit an element, simply:

  1. Click on "Elements"

  2. Filter for the element to edit

  3. Click on the element

  4. Click on "Characteristics"

  5. Enter the new values in the corresponding fields

  6. Click on "Confirm"

    Note: you can see the number of changes made in parentheses on the "Confirm" button before validating. Changes made appear in the Activity log in the element's viewing panel.

    How do I edit several elements at once?

    To edit several elements, simply:

1. Click on "Elements"

2. Filter for the elements to edit

3. Select the elements to edit using the 🔲 icon
​Note: to select all elements, click directly on the 🔲 icon next to the "Bulk actions" button.

4. Click on "Bulk actions"

5. Click on "Edit a common characteristic"

6. Click on the characteristic to edit
​Note: only the following characteristics can be edited in bulk: Technical unit, Equipment number, Designation, Location, Status, Rented, Building, Expiration date, Disposal date, Key element, Owner.

7. Fill in the field for the change to be made

8. Click on "Edit"
